Biographical Information[edit]

John McNamara was a minor league catcher from 1951 to 1963, minor league manager from 1959 to 1967, and major league coach and manager. McNamara missed the 1953-1954 seasons due to military service.

McNamara was a coach for the Oakland A's in 1968-1969, the San Francisco Giants in 1971-1973, and the California Angels in 1978.
